QCQ 9

Quote: “There was this odd thing about the words I uttered, that they came not from me not in response to my willpower but in response to his, it was not I who will I should speak but he”

Common: This stood out to me as the point at which it is confirmed that man in the bed had control over the other man. The control however is not stated how, it could be supernatural control or maybe the fear was so great that he had no other choice to answer the man in the bed. Fear has a way of making you do things you don’t want to do, and in this case, you could argue that it was fear that had control over the clerk. It could be that the man in the bed was using his horrifying appearance and body language to induce the fear that made the clerk obey his unspoken commands.

Question: Is it the power of fear or a supernatural means that the man in the bed has control over the clerk?
